Weddings at Cop Cot
Cop Cot is a giant wooden gazebo-type structure located at 6th Avenue and Central Park South. It is one of the more private and accessible spots in the park, and can hold up to 50 people for a wedding ceremony. It is a short walk from the perimeter of the park, which is good if you have guests who may not as easily walk deeper into the park — however it is at the top of a small hill. This walk up the hill makes a great aisle for the bridal party to enter the ceremony.
There are some great views of the skyline around Cop Cot, however during the ceremony there can be some pretty harsh shadows from the sun going through the roof, which can be best described as looking like every other row of boards is missing. As such, we would suggest an early morning or late afternoon ceremony at Cop Cot; in the summer it is covered in wisteria, which will help with the lighting situation.
